Time Unlocked Studio creates short-form videos about forgotten history, real mysteries, remarkable people and surprising discoveries. Each video is researched against sources, checked by a person and clearly labelled where AI was used.

The Time Unlocked Studio application

Time Unlocked Studio uses its own AI-assisted production application to research, write, produce and publish short educational videos. The application is a private tool: it runs on the studio's own computer and publishes only to Time Unlocked Studio's own accounts. It is not offered to the public, and there is nothing to download or sign up for.

  1. Research. Story ideas are gathered with their sources.
  2. Fact-check. Claims are checked against independent sources and recorded.
  3. Script and voice. AI tools help draft scripts and narration; a person edits and approves them.
  4. Video. A vertical video with subtitles is produced and quality-checked.
  5. Approval. A person watches the finished video and approves it before anything is published.
  6. Publishing. Approved videos are uploaded to the studio's own TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts.

Public posting is switched off by default. It needs a separate setting, a person's approval of the exact platform and visibility, and a final confirmation. AI-generated or AI-assisted content is labelled using each platform's own disclosure setting.

How the platform connections work

The application connects to each platform through that platform's official sign-in (OAuth) and publishing interfaces. A person signs in on the platform's own website and approves the requested permissions. The application never sees or stores account passwords.

TikTok

Uses TikTok Login Kit and the Content Posting API with the permissions user.info.basic, video.upload and video.publish. Before each post, the application shows which TikTok account is connected and asks a person to choose how the video is shared (there is no default). Comments, Duet and Stitch stay off unless switched on, and TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation is shown. Videos can be sent as drafts to the TikTok inbox or posted directly, and AI-generated content is labelled.

YouTube

Uses Google sign-in with the permissions youtube.upload and youtube.readonly, to upload videos and to confirm which channel is connected. Videos can be uploaded as private or unlisted for checking before anything is public, and altered or synthetic content is disclosed using YouTube's setting.

Instagram

Uses Meta's Instagram API with Unified Login (Facebook Login for Business) with the permissions instagram_basic and instagram_content_publish, to find the studio's professional account and publish Reels. AI-generated content is labelled.

Access can be removed at any time from each platform's account settings, and the saved sign-in can be deleted from the application. Full details, including what information is used and where it is kept, are in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy in brief

  • This website doesn't use analytics, advertising, forms or third-party scripts.
  • The application keeps its data on the studio's own computer. Platform sign-ins are stored only there and, on Windows, are encrypted with Windows' built-in data protection.
  • Information from TikTok, YouTube and Instagram is used only to publish the studio's own videos and show their status. It is never sold or used for advertising.
